NIRF Ranking 2021: Lists out, IIT Madras tops overall category

NIRF Ranking 2021 was released on Thursday, September 9, 2021. The list for top colleges and universities has been released by Dharmendra Pradhan under various categories. 

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday, September 9, released the NIRF Rankings 2021. The Rankings have been released under various categories, including, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Overall, Research, etc.

IIT Madras has topped the Rankings in the overall category, while IISc Bengaluru has come second, which is followed by IIT Bombay at the third place. The complete list of the rankings for all top institutes can be checked on the official website of NIRF on nirfindia.org.

This year NIRF has released the sixth annual ranking list of higher educational institutes of the country. 

The rankings for all colleges and universities across the country given by the Ministry were based on teaching, learning, and resources; research and professional practice, graduation outcome; outreach and inclusivity; and peer perception. Along with the overall rankings, stream-wise rankings have also been released. 

NIRF Rankings: Miranda college secures top spot in the college category

Miranda House has topped the list under the college category this year. Lady Shri Ram College for Women of Delhi and Loyola College of Chennai has secured the second rank and third rank respectively.

NIRF Ranking 2021: Lists released for all 11 categories

The rankings have been made for eleven categories this year- Overall, University, Management, College, Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), Law and Research Institutions. The ‘Research Institutions’ category has been added this year.
